The lemon of Capri is a must. There are several bars offering typical recipes and wonderful sea views, surrounded by lemons.
The lemons have also inspired recipes such as the mozzarella grilled on lemon leaves and the lemon delight.
The cuisine jumps, between the land and the sea, ranging from calamarata alla pescatrice (squid) to the famous caprese salad. For the more modern, there is no shortage of places where the cuisine merges with the jet set that always frequent the island.
One cannot fail to mention a dinner at the Quisisana restaurant, where you can try the refined cuisine of Gualtiero Marchesi.
Most interesting is the wine Capri DOC, ancient wine already known to Emperor Tiberius, today has its roots on terraces scorched by the sun overlooking the sea.
The wine is produced in two versions, that of white of a pale straw colour that you match with fish dishes and the red, dry and tangy ruby colour more or less intense, that you match with roasts and red meat.
