Located on the side of the Gulf of Salerno, is the long beach of Nerano.

The bay is composed of diverse beaches, all formed of pebbles, clear water and rocky bottoms which renders it ideal for swimming, snorkeling and diving.

The beach of Nerano is easily reachable by bus (Sita) or by car approximately 25 minutes from Sorrento, with the possibility of parking a few steps from the beach.

One of the first beaches you come to is the “beach of the Germans”¸ so nominated for is strong presence of German tourists.  Il lido, equipped with beach establishment and bar is reachable walking a ramp of about 150 steps, accessible directly from the principal street.

A little lower, you reach the beach of Calcara, defined by a group of rocks of which the “scoglio del Passo” (rock of the Passo) is the biggest.

The last beach is Marina del Cantone, the point of reference of all the town of Nerano.  It is very beautiful due to the presence of white polished pebbles.

Marina del Cantone is reachable by car, without having to walking any trails or stairs. Near the shore are many famous restaurants, renowned for the specialties of the village: fish and pasta with zucchini.

There are also beach establishments equipped with all the comforts and hotels.  Finally, from the beach, it is possible to book boat trips to the most beautiful and famous stretches of coastline.
