Reaching Sorrento by train is particularly economical.
From the Naples station, stazione Napoli Centrale – Piazza Garibaldi, you can take the Circumvesuviana train line that arrives directly in Sorrento.
The trains leave every twenty minutes with daily services to Sorrento and stops in all the towns of the Sorrentine Peninsula.
The trip last a little more than an hour and there are no reservations. Before boarding, it is necessary to obtain a ticket to avoid a fine on board. The ticket can be purchased from the nearby ticket office and/or some kiosks located in the station.
To reach the station of Piazza Garibaldi from the airport, take the Alibus line that stops in the proximity of Piazza Garibaldi. The tickets can be purchased directly on board of the bus and cost € 3,00.
