You can easily reach Sorrento and the Sorrento Coast in several ways either by car, train, bus, or by sea.

By airplane

There are 27 airlines that operate to and from Naples, with domestic and international flights to over 40 European and major international cities. The airport is located approximately 8 km to the north of Naples and offers both the well recognised as well as the low cost airline companies.

By Car

From Naples, take the A3 highway “Salerno-Reggio Calabria”. Once on the highway, continue to follow the signs to the Sorrentine Peninsula and take the Castellammare di Stabia exit. This exit is located to the north of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Follow the street signs to Sorrento by the “Statale 145”. This road leads directly to Sorrento. The road offers a magnificent panoramic view that alternates between the sea and the mountains, along the coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula.

By Bus

To reach Sorrento from the Naples’ airport, you may utilise the Curreri daily line that furnishes a direct connection from the airport to the centre of Sorrento. The company offers daily trips with stops in the towns of the Sorrentine Peninsula. The route is active all year and the tickets may be bought on board of the bus at a cost of €10,00.

By taxi

In the Arrival area, outside the Terminal. The average cost is € 100,00 one way.

By train

Reaching Sorrento by train is particularly economic. From the Naples station, Stazione Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi, you can take the Circumvesuviana train line that arrives directly in Sorrento.
The trains leave every 20 minutes with daily services to Sorrento and stops in all the towns of the Sorrentine Peninsula.The trip is a little over an hour and there are no reservations.

By hydrofoil or ferry

Naples offers an ample choice of connections via sea to Sorrento. Every day, ferries, hydrofoils and steamers that leave from Molo Beverello or Porto di Mergellina serve the Sorrentine Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast.
This may be considered the fastest mode of transport, reaching Sorrento in only 30 minutes. The tickets for the Naples-Sorrento route can be bought at the ticket office that is located in the proximate vicinity of Molo Beverello in Naples or Porto di Sorrento (Sorrento’s port).
