A much awaited event for both tourists and locals is the Festival of the Chestnut at Monte Faito, the highest peak of the entire Lattari Mountain range.
Musical events, degustation, activities for children and stands of companies working in various sectors of crafts; from dairy products to liqueurs to artistic works of ceramic and wood; all form part of the offers of the festival.
The strong point of the event however is gastronomy.
There are numerous dishes based on chestnuts and mushrooms that you can appreciate, in addition are product of the local area: from gnocchetti (small gnocchi) to soup, to meat and the, not to be missed, grilled sausages. Finally for all gluttons, cakes and roasted chestnuts at will!
