Officially the high-season begins on the 1st of June and ends on the 30th of August, but from the first days of April Sorrento and nearby villages of the coast are going to be invaded by tourists; this makes quite impossible to find any rooms available for those who didn’t book well in advance.
The summer season is the best time of the year to spend lovely days on the beach and enjoying the wonderful weather in the south of Italy, while April, May, September and October are thought to be the best time for those that are going to visit the peninsula missing the busiest tourist crowd; obviously in this time of the year room rates are reasonably low to become a real temptation.
All around the peninsula there are many private flats and villas where you can stay.
As an alternative, with a limited budget it’s possible to stay in a nice Bed & Breakfast or fully furnished campsite.
For nature living lovers instead, the peninsula has many options for accommodation offers by agricultural managements and farm-houses not far located from the main village centres
